Directions to the Take-out
The river is short enough to walk back to top, the only access is across a farm track, so park considerately and change discreetly.
River Description
Four main drops. There are couple of narrow rapids at top. Then into the drops, they are all are in 2 to 3 metre range. The last drop has a rib of rock in landing pool so it needs a bit more water than rest, having said that, you shouldn't be here in big water.
Local issues
- Parking is limited.
- Last drop almost in farmyard so be polite.
River level gauge
This is not a big water river. If you look under bridge and it seems you can just float a boat its about right. Its bog fed so slow to rise but also holds its water well. The last time I was here the Flesk was low 60cm but there was just enough here.
River Hazards
- Overhanging branches
- Shallow plunge pools
- Good boof essential
